Ben grew up in South London where boxing was engrained in him from a very early age, not only was it a family sport, it was the only sport that kept Ben focused for more than 6 weeks. Obsession is a light word to use for his feelings about boxing.
For Ben this “Last Fight” on the 29th March is about challenging himself to go as far as he can go (at his age) before hanging up his gloves for the last time.
It’s also about redemption and laying ghosts to rest win, lose, or draw – BUT - BEN WILL WIN!!!
Fundraising Efforts - Ben was inspired by the Headmaster of his son’s school, Joseph Croft who last year ran the London Marathon while also raising funds for the school Ravenstone Primary. While the fight is important to Ben for personal reasons, Joe inspired Ben to take the opportunity & raise money towards the school. Therefore working with Joe all money raised from Ben’s boxing efforts will go towards new technology lighting, and sound system for their main hall. This hall is used for assemblies, parent presentations, external enrichment programs, and PTA Functions. Your support is greatly appreciated by both Ben/Natalie as well as Joe and the Ravenstone community.
